What Would You Tell Your Younger-Parent Self?

What Would You Tell Your Younger-Parent Self?

Will I understand what my child wants from me? What if I can’t breastfeed? What is going to happen to my relationship? Am I going to withstand the judgement of others? We have all been there and looking back, we realized it's not worth the worry!

What about you?

Do you have any advice you would give to yourself as a new mom? We asked around and here are some of the tips we really enjoyed and definitely get on board with:

  1. Don’t let the small stuff get into your head! If it doesn’t matter in 5 years, it doesn’t matter at all. -Jennifer K.
  2. Enjoy those younger years because they do grow up too fast. -Madeleine
  3. It’s not about raising and creating a child, but to help and support them to become the person they are supposed to be. -Joy
  4. Let your child be a child and allow yourself to be human. -Kelly
  5. Listen to your own advice and don’t worry about others. Also, don’t shame others yourself. -Cindy
  6. Do. Not. Compare. Not your parenting style. Not your kid. Nothing. -Jennifer S.
  7. Don’t stress about the big events (birthdays, Christmas, etc.) and cherish the small stuff, because memories can be made every day! -Marie
  8. You don’t have to be your child’s best friend. Be a mentor and supporter and their greatest cheerleader. -Caitlyn
